Ej22t for sale, [EDIT car gone]

Post by magicmike »

OK here is the deal.

I have 2 ss wagons. A white one with a mint body and a basically stock ej22t with the exception of a td04 (I think) and a plastic saab setup from the previous owner. This engine runs well.

The silver one is the one that I started on this board with the rebuilt longblock all new internals and p&p heads, VF34 etc. The body is in rough shape but with a little tlc its salvagable. The 4EAT in this car is bad, it slips in gear. and also the rear wheels dont drive.

ok here is the deal.

1. I am pulling the engine out of the white one (150k miles ish) and putting it on a stand.
2. I am pulling the good engine out of the silver wagon and putting it in the white wagon.
3. I am NOT putting the white cars engine back into the silver car.
4. I am pulling the alarm/FCD/ECB/and CES exhaust out of the silver car.
5. I am selling the white cars engine and whoever buys it can have the silver wagon and fix or replace the tranny in it and install the engine or just use it for parts.

this vid shows the car

I am in East Greenwich RI 02818

I'd like to get $500 for the motor. If the buyer of the motor wants the car its free, if not the car only is for sale for $100

PM me

Thanks,

So are you rebuilding the white cars motor? If so I may be interested and I'd probably take the wagon with it.

see #1 & #3
The white cars motor is coming out and getting put onto a stand and that is all I'm doing with it.

It says you are in St Louis, how do you plan on getting it?

just wondering why its going on a stand at all if it is not going to be worked on. I just took your phrasing a little to literal.
I would drive the F250 up with a trailer and stick the motor in the back of the wagon...and drive home.

What is the mileage on the white motor?

oh well I have a stand and you can have that too as I will have no need for it. The stand is just so I dont sit the motor on the floor and can roll it out of my way in the garage until I get rid of it. As for the miles I can double check but the car has aprox. 150k on it. The engine is good and does not leak any oil. I'm not too sure about the turbo as the previous owner had installed it and it doesn'r seem like its working that great. I will do a compression check on the motor before I remove it from the white car. I can say that it runs good and has never given me any problems.

If you end up selling any parts off the silver one, let me know. I can come pick stuff up.

Yeah, I would be very interested in the compression numbers. My plan is to drop that motor in to my sedan if its better than what I have. Then I guess I'd put my motor in the wagon and use it to haul things.

Wagon

Post by shtbxr22 »

If whoever buys the engine, does not want the wagon, can you let me know. I have been looking for a wagon forever. Also would the price still be $100?
Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad judgment.

Honestly, for $100 I'd be at your house tomorrow for the engineless Touring Wagon if it wasn't over in RI (350 miles away). The entire front end is well worth over $100 in body parts alone.

I used Microsoft Streets & Trips '07 to figure out that with my '80 Chevy pickup would cost me $175 in gas both ways plus the $100 cost of the car. *sigh* Oh well. Best of luck to ya...

Update:
The silver car is gone. They took it away this morning. I live in a condo community so i had to get rid of it quick. I had a salvage guy come get it. Still working on getting the old motor out of the white one. P.S. dont try to pull an engine with a CES dual dump downpipe still attached to the turbo lol.

Hey,
Do you still have the engine? If so what EXACTLY comes with it? Do still have the harness and computer for it?

Let me know.
Thanks
