Well, maybe I shouldn't have acted as quickly a I did, but I just couldn't help it - http://spokane.craigslist.org/car/373682037.html. I paid 1800 plus tax/title. For that price I think I did pretty good. There's definately some work to be done here and there. The front end has a little damage from a mild front end collision and the interior isn't quite mint but it's far from trashed.

It is an auto :( but the tranny feels great, no torque bind, and the car has 128k on the odo so I think I have some time left to get everything together for the 5MT swap. For the power I will ultimately be going for with this I'll need a new tranny anyways so I can kill two birds with one stone. All the axles are in good shape and the rims are a little rough, but I have an extra set sitting around and I now have good winter tires. The tires also all had pretty even wear on them backing the good alignment.

Like I said, a little work needs done to get it where I want it but not to keep it driveable.

In short, I'm happy to join the forced induction crowd with my 93' SS :):):):).

I will have more pics tomorrow.

Pictures tomorrow hopefully. Our buyer came in today and I never got free time during the day.

Now that I've had a chance to drive it a bit, OMG, oh how I have missed driving a BC. Just the way it sits, the driver controls, everything. There is no question that it was designed with the driver as first priority. God I love it.

And then there's the SS. Wow. I love the sound of the turbo, it just sounds sooo good. It's making my OBW feel slow as all get out but my EL headers and a set of cams will fix that soon enough. But the SS is great. I love the leather trim and the sunroof. Always wanted one and it's as cool as I thought it owuld be. It did leak a tad when I took it through the car wash though so I guess I'll have to look into that. But no biggie. The AT tranny is pretty good. I still don't like the AT over the 5MT but it's not treating me bad. I just miss the direct control and connection to the engine and driveline. But it does feel pretty good not loosing power between shifts.

The passenger CV clicks during turning, definately doesn't feel like anything is binding in the tranny and there is a distinct metalic clicking sound. I've had a few CV's go and this seems to fit the bill. Other than that all that needs done is some body work I think. The clutch on the AC is a little rough and whines a tad until you turn it on but it still blows cold.

And yes, the color is just sick. Grows on me more everyday.

Tomorrow I will do my best to have better picks.

And please bear with me as I'm sure I'll be asking some noob questions in the future regarding the turbo and directions to go despite my countless hours spent searching :).

Subaru's just simply own!

Well today I replaced oil, air, fuel filters and some general cleaning. I'm still in love with this car. It's just so nice to have a BC again. I also got some pictures developed this evening. There's some work that needs done but all in all I think she looks pretty good. The tint looks darker in the pictures than it really is - polarized filter on the camera...

And finaly, the pictures -
