Hey BBS, I have issues and need help. If you're smart and like money and free aftermarket parts, please read on.
I've been playing with Subaru's for years, some of my cars are on this site somewhere, bla bla bla. However, my current job has me working WAAAAYY too much to spend any time on restoration or maintenance or anything of the sort.
I recently acquired a turbo'd 98 Legacy GT w/ a T04 and WRX TMIC, MBC, atmospheric BOV, and a ton of other upgraded parts. EM is via an APEXi S-AFCii (****ty, as you well know). There is some shoddy workmanship throughout, a bad turbo oil feed line and who knows what else. It runs pretty terrible and I have neither the time nor the skill to get a WB and tune this thing myself.
If I could get some work put into this car, I'd like to enjoy it as a daily driver, a lot of the extraneous parts I don't really care for (BOV, custom exhaust). I'd really just like it to be leak free, reliable, quiet and somewhat fast. If anyone could spend a few days with this car I have cash, parts, and anything you replace you can keep (except the turbo and tmic, of course). Feel free to send your advice, I'm located near the IL/WI border near I-94 and work in North Chicago. Thanks!!

No, to my recollection, he didn't buy Josh's wagon. Sounds like he left for Chit/Milw before that was even posted. If anyone is willing to work this guy I can vouch for him, He's a good guy, easy going. A nice family man. Someone help him out!

No, it was a green GT that had been on NASIOC for a while and I traded a 2000 GT wagon for it. I've completed the interior (to a respectable level) and taken most of the hoses and other easy shit apart, fixed all oil leaks and replaced most turbo lines. It's now leak free and running well.
The doggone EM is what's killing me, it takes boost very unreliably and is nowhere near as smooth as I'd like it to be. I'm trying to locate either a WRX wiring harness or SS harness to swap it all in, does anyone know how smoothly it will swap over as long as I incorp. a turbo ECU.
Thanks for the vouche Tristan, but you wouldn't have said that if you saw what I do when the family "misbehaves".
Just kidding, there's nothing funny about domestic violence... Unless it's a family of clowns.
