Alky Injection vs. TMIC
I'm thinking that Alcohol injection would be a more efficient means of cooling the intake charge than a TMIC.
A TMIC gets heat soaked when the car is not moving/moving slowly, this will not happen with alky injection on the stock plastic charge tube.
I have seen intake temps of over 125*+ on my Impreza (TMIC with a intake temp sensor + alky injection) in traffic, as the alky begins to spray the intake temps drop 30-40* usually ending up a few degrees below ambient temp (if that makes sense) warming back up to ambient temp as air flows through the TMIC @ speed w/o spray.
Another strike against the TMIC is fact that the LSS does not have a big enough scoop to effectively feed air to a TMIC.
Innovative Tuning did this to their LSS (when they had it).
I will be installing a Meth. inj kit on my LSS, but already have a FMIC on it.
On the Impreza I use the stock winshield washer bottle as the Meth Tank & use about 1 gallon of 50/50-H2O/Meth every 2 tanks of gas.
Anybody have any other thoughts about Alky vs TMIC ?

My race car will have a front mount and water/meth shortly, but I'm going for 600 hp this time.
I still have 5 LSS's BTW
I'd stick with the FMIC on the car that has it, but go with meth instead of the TMIC on the other. You have the data to show the meth does more cooling than the top mount. The top mount is only a flow restriction and source of pressure drop.

Wow thats alot of Subarus!
Another + for the meth kit is the fact that it can be used with a FMIC when one decides to upgrade; which is better than wasting time, $, & effort installing a TMIC olny to junk it when upgrade time rolls along.
I'm going Meth+FMIC on both my turbo cars, but for folks with no form of I/C I'd suggest using Meth over a TMIC, then eventually upgrading to Meth+FMIC if additional cooling is needed.

I use it on my DD.
One of the main benefits of using this is a decrease in EGTs.
I have been spraying -30*windshield washer fluid (meth + water) or 50/50 meth/h2o into the motor for the past 2 years with no problems.
On a 5 GPH nozzle & 100psi pump my 1ish gallon tank (windshield washer tank) lasts 2 fill-ups & change.
I got a cooling mist basic system for the LSS (which now has a 150psi pump & better nozzles/fittings than my system).
I just installed one of the "new-improved" systems on the LSS & will test acc. changes once I get everything dialed in.

I visited Innovative Tuning's site for the first time the other day & saw that they sell the same alky system I have.
Had I known this prior to buying my system I would have purchased it from them.
I have PM'd them with some general ?'s in the past & they were very helpful.
The alky system knocked .57 seconds off of the 0-60 times on my LSS from 5.62 seconds down to 5.05 seconds on a 4eat LSS timed on a G-tech Pro.
