Whats else is needed??
I wanna run 18 PSI... Im at 12 now,... my block is a rebuild... all stock... I have a WRX TD04 turbo, WRX manifold with Sti injectors and fuel rails... full exhaust.. boost and oil presure guages... I have a WRX fuel pump but am ordering a walbro and a FCD.... is there anything else I need.... when I upped the car to 12 PSi its never worked better it seems to love it... and I also plan on an Air fuel guage....
also what heads would I need if I want to run DOHC and how hard are they to get??

perfect power 6, its a piggy back unit. and a wide band is a guage that shows you what your motors air fuel mix is thought out the power band as you drive and or tune.

a piggy back takes information from the sensors and changes them before sending them to the ecu. wat the ecu sees is wat the piggy back sends it. its tricking the ecu to run leaner/rich or run more/less timing and stuff like that

Don't get caught up in how much boost you are running. If you want to flow more air, you need a larger turbo. 14 psi out of my 30R and the same out of my buddies 16G are worlds apart.
Its all about efficiancy, and the pressure ratio's you want to push into a 2.2L w/ a TD04 are getting out of that range. It probably will taper off pretty bad near the top end.
But, larger turbos means more mods to support them and more tuning, which opens up a pretty big can of worms.

What Dan said couldn't be more true, and I don't think you really realize it til you see it. I have one car with the VF11 and another with a VF8. Even at the same boost level, you can tell the VF8 flows more and flows better.93forestpearl wrote:Don't get caught up in how much boost you are running. A piggyback needed to be wired to some inputs on the ecu among other things. Not bad if you can read the wiring diagrams.
If you want a very fast car without messing with much, you need something other than a first gen legacy. Simply turning up the boost does not mean turning up the power.
