In case you didnt figure it out, in the left side is a subaru block......

Yes, a phase 1 EJ25D if Im not mistaken...

but that doesnt mean that the closed deck blocks are also made by them, its a very different casting technique, isnt it?

The closed deck blocks (ej22t, ej20g) "cylinder bore is mated right to the surface of the block which gives it incredible stiffness and resistance to warping or cracking. These engines are created using the "sand-cast" or "lost-foam" methods. Both aren't terribly expensive methods of casting, but they're much less accurate than using the die-cast method. This is why all Subaru engines currently use the die-cast, open-deck design.

The open-deck block has a "large amount of space around the cylinder bore. This is due to the limitations of the die-cast method. Die-cast is less expensive and more accurate than other, more elaborate and time-intensive methods.".

The intake on the right looks like one similar to the one on the SVX.

Doesn't the SVX have dual throttle bodies? Looks like a porsche manifold to me.

The intake is a Mitsu/Chrysler V-6. The Red valve cover is also a Mitsu 4cyl.
