A/T oil temp light question

Hello all,

My 97 LGT auto A/Toil temp light flashes 17 times after I start the car, what does that mean??

It's probably 16 times and that means that the TCU (Transmission Control Unit) has a trouble code stored in it.

Ok, how can It get the code read and that do the codes mean?

With the newer models, I believe you need to take it to the dealer for the code to be read.
