I'll second this. Cross-Drilling just removes material from rotor, which in turns gives it the ability to dissapate heat. Cross-drilled help in two ways vent brake gasses and cooling. For street use, you will most likely not benefit that much from the added cooling. For race purposes, I'd say you would, but you'll kill your rotors alot sooner. Slotted are good, because they remove little material, yet vent brake gasses. I had a set of cross-drilled brembro's on my 90 Legacy, and like any other rotor that has been on that car, I warped them. I did a no-no and turned them...and they warped like in a month or two. I've got stock rotors on the front now, and still have the cross-drilled in the rear...they feel like they are startin to warp...so they'll probably be going soon too. In reality the rotors on my legacy are too small, and is why I've warped a good 3 sets already :) But at the time I don't have the money to upgrade to larger rotor and caliper...plus then I couldn't use my snow tires.

If you can find just slotted rotors....go for them....if not...just get normal rotors.

Josh

There is a very informative article on brakes and upgrades in this months
issue of Grassroots Motorsports. It is very scientific and gives pros and
cons to certain modifications.....check it out!
