Weird dent....

Hi.. just a few days ago, i found that my car has a huge dent under
my right rear door. i don't know how i got it, but i am worried that
it might be part of the chassis and it might affect my car later on..

its under the door.. where the side skirt is i guess? but our car
doesn't have side skirt.. its all metal.. it kinda looks like someone
tried to jack up my car and put it in the wrong place and dented that
whole part there... because that layer of rust proofing is ripped
definitely ripped from the inside to the outside....

btw, how do i attach files? i will try to get a digital camera to
take pics of that dent and post it on here...

the panel you are referring to is the 'sill panel'. A small dent won't
effect anything with the car's dynamics.
it may cause rust if bare metal is present.
it often happens when people using the car supplied jacks don't put them in
the right place. You only need fix it if you want it looking good
again.......

Thanks for the quick reply..... hmm.. i guess i can say its a pretty
big dent becoz i think i can kinda feel that there is a very slight
bump on the door frame... i am worried that since its such a big
dent, it might cuase problem.. still dunno what happened.. if it
happened while i was driving.. i should have noticed it.. the impact
must be really big to have such force to make a dent like that.

Ricky, I know this is no help to ypu, but my RS has rubber side skirts at the bottom.
