Boy, have you been hittin' the bottle too hard lately??? Selling out for DSM. Some one get him to the hospital to get his head checked out...

You'd regret it 6 months after you did it and take a loss on selling the DSM to get another Subaru.

You need to read those forums more closely.

There's still some of those things around?

ya.... plus i dont really like the old school iron block motor. might as well drive a domestic. well we'll see how much potential my 5spd will take. because my plans are to build my car to 400-450hp. that should be plenty fast for my needs.

and dont worry im not going to argue about well the dsm has this and its better then a subaru blah blah. im still very suby kind of person, sooner or later im going to get a decked out 91 ss tatted on my back. that would be sick!

I think the quick way they've nearly disappeared from the landscape up here versus the large number of older surviving Subarus I see says all I need to know.

umm... who cares what a motor is made out of? there are plenty of iron block I4's that are light and can make good power. so they might be ~50lbs heavier than an EJ or SR but whatever.
nothing wrong with V8's either. never understood the whole rice vs. V8 argument. its like ford vs chevy but a little more stupid since they are such different beasts.
DSM's are some bad ass cars... when they are running.

And shit, parts gotta be cheaper than subie parts, plus the availability. They use standard t3 flanges on the turbos dont they?

The few Ive been under seemed to have a bit more sophisticated suspension too.

The engine's in the wrong way  screw mitsu/eagle/plymouthchrysler/dodge....blah, blah, blah. everything will make enough power eventually with enough money. just go with what you like.

Hey, satinsvoice said he wanted a 91ss tatted on his back. Whaddya'll think of that? I've seen this fat dykie cowlesbian (she was into the 'country' scene) with a flaming ford symbol on the back of her neck. I guess the flames were what made it so red, iunno. But it kinda changed how I feel about tattooing a car-maker's insignia on my body.
I mean, I could get away with the subaru stars because they're actually a real constellation. But, having a car tatted on you -- I'm not so sure about. But I am facing getting another inkspot, cuz the one on my chest is getting lonely.

So, what do you all think?

ps, sorry for the threadjack

funny. my next door neighbor just brought one of those 98's eclipse or whatever home on a trailer yesterday that he just bought. It is white like in the pic. Bad motor, and had front end damage. got it for 700 and it has like 109k miles. not a bad project, but when he popped the hood, i was like oh that doesn't look fun (comparing to any subaru).
I was at my local junkyard last week looking for parts to go on my brat, and noticed about 20-25 of those DSM's ........I think i could put the seats from one in my brat, but couldnt find any in tan lol.
