Trans filter & flush

Mine is an auto. I believe that is only for auto. That filter is actually an upgrade kit or something I think was added on.....because some don't have them I think.....don't quote me or anything......I'm probably won't have time to do anything with trans till spring break....beginning of march.....I wanna call the dealer and see if they carry the trans filter and stuff.

I don't know why I didn't put two and two together sooner, but I found the add on transmission filter, that some have talked about....I didn't think I had one. It's behind the radiator on the drivers side.....here's a pic. I'm assuming we can get just the filter from Subaru. Also I was thinking of having my tranny flushed out by one of those power flushers......should I change the filter before or after it gets flushed......I would assume afterwards, due to any crud that gets flushed out. Anyone have any experience with tranny flushes??
