where can i find a inexpensive disc?

Post by urabusturbo »

I converted my 92ss to a manual with a 96 4.11 tranny. after 3k miles the tranny is making the bearing howl that they sometimes do, i have bought a new tranny and will be swapping it in soon. I want to upgrade my clutch disc but i dont want to buy the entire kit. Does anyone know where i can find a clutch disc that is compatible? Will a disc for a wrx or ss fit the leggy gt setup? please dont tell me to use the search function because it didnt help me.

Is the throw out bearing on the new tranny released via a cable or hydraulic system?

If cable, then anything for a n/a subie will work. I'd look for something for a 2.5rs.

If hydraulic, then anything turbo leg or WRX will work (except sti?).

Try clutchnet.com. They sell individual pieces. I think douglas vincent has had good results w/ their parts.
