Oil Pickup--it's position in oil pan.

Post by forsinapu »

The oil pan got bent a while back when the car wasn't really being used and I just noticed it again now that I've been working on the car again. I'm not really familiar with the position of the oil pickup or how close it is to the bottom of the oil pan, but have heard stories of possible oil starvation occurring. The dent is on the front 1/3 of the oil pan and is probably about 5-6mm deep at it's deepest. (toward the front of the pan) It was caused by a blunt object so no deep gouges just a bit deformed. Should I be worried?

Thanks for all the help!
