Check this out, about half way down the page.

Look for modified TD05-16G for the usdm legacy turbo 91-94

it says that

"Although it is MUCH easier to fit than the standard 90 degree inlet, it will still require a bit of work to fit properly. Due to the difference in Legacy coolant supply lines, this model does NOT include coolant supply lines"

so, what exactly is needed to make it work then?

Just take to coolant supply/return line off of the VF11, and put them on the 16G, thats what I did.

Very few, if any, parts for our cars are bolt-on. If you want something that requires little knowledge of the mechanics of your vehicle in order to make it go faster you,
A) don't deserve to go fast, and
B) Should buy and drive a honda like the rest of the crooked hatters.

lol, im use to that. have you see the market for alltracs :D
if i wanted to go fast, it wouldn't be in a Subaru. i like my Toyota's. a 16g wouldn't make a "fast" car by my definition anyways, but it will be nicer than a old, tired vf11.

BTW, is there any shops that rebuild and upgrade VF11's?

sorry, im new to subies, and i still haven't been able to get a good look at whats out there for the car. i guess i should hold off my questions till i get a good look at my new car and see what looks doable...

theres currently 7 alltracs up here, so that doesn't narrow it much :P
i just moved up here though

back on subject, what is also needed to make that turbo work? so far all that ive gotten is that you reuse the stock coolant lines? judging by the weird 3 bolt flange, its good on a stock up pipe. what about downpipe? will the intake slip on too?

You're good to go. Just swap the coolant lines.

The only other modification is that you'll need to do is cut notches out on the plastic intake tube going to the inlet of the turbo. The notches are 90 deg different then the stock vf11.

Here's pics of my TD05-16g install. The turbo install was the easiest part of the whole process

sounds like good set-up then. i emailed deadbolt too, and they just said that i need to swap the coolant lines, and put new vacuum lines on, which is a given.

does anyone have flowmaps for a vf11? also, what should be the stock boost level be? im guessing around 6-7 psi...

The PCV lines need rerouted too and I would not upgrade to a TD05H-16G unless you're intercooled and have a TBE at the very least....

yeah, i know that there are other supporting mods needed. i just found a 07 wrx intercooler locally, so thats the first thing, then depending on the actual condition of the vf11, this may or may not happen. if the stock turbo is good, then i'll leave it alone till after the winter....
