I'll snap some pics of my TMIC install today since I totally forgot to do such when I did it 2 weeks ago.

No pictures. I believe it's the '06 model, but I could be wrong.

well, he said he had to bang out the firewall to make it fit, and i don't want to do that, so, i would rather look for a different intercooler that actually fits then

If you're talking about J-MoNeY's install, be aware that his install is on a '97-'99 Legacy GT not a '90-94 Legacy SS. If you install the Forester or '06 WRX I/C, "modding" the firewall is not needed. They are not as wide as the '02/'03 WRX I/C that everyone commonly uses.

hold up. so i just had someone tell me that the 02-05 will work better since they aren't as deep, and now your saying that a 06-07 will work better because its not as wide.

so which one?

02-05 are deeper, yet narrower than the 06-07...

Essentially...the 06-07 and Forester XT intercoolers fit WITHOUT extensive modification...

The 02-05 intercoolers require either cutting the throttle body or banging the body of the car to fit...and therefore are not recommended

what do you mean by that? do you still have to cut/hammer things out of the way? or is it just trivial things...

if not, is there an intercooler that doesn't require any sort of cutting or bending then (maybe an early model GC wrx or something?). i don't care too much if its hard to find, since i would rather do things right the first time...

The 06-07 requires no body mods, and no throttle body mods...the only stuff you have to figure out is plumbing.

oh, what about the coolant tank, igniter, and the clutch master cylinder tank? anything needed to be done to those with an 06-07?
