were is my oil going?
im not leaking any oil or smokeing while driving. it does smoke good if she has sat for a few days but only for maybe a minute, i figure valve stem seals is the cause of that. could the turbo be leaking internaly and just filing my exhaust? i'm putting in almost of a quart of oil for every 100miles sometimes less. this is blowing my mind!
my girlfriend finaly found out that i spent more money and time on my car then her. she was kind pist to say the least.

How many miles?
If you get on it hard, does it smoke some? Look the in rearview mirror at night with someone behind you....
Smoke on hard accelleration = need new rings, and while you are at it, head rebuild.

Go to your local grocery store and ask them for a big box...one that will fold flat and fit well between your front wheels. Park the car and slide the cardboard under there. The morning after that, look at the cardboard and see where it's got oil on it. That will give you an idea of where to start looking for leaks.
I'd bet on front cam seals, valve cover gaskets, or rear main seal as that seems to be some very common places for leakage.
Good luck, this crap can be a nightmare.

What about in the turbo? I'm pretty sure that I was losing oil to my turbo when I was having a mystery oil disappearance problem. When the car idled for too long, the idle would dip real low (shaking the whole car) and would smoke for a bit. Is it possible the oil is going to the turbo and getting stuck somewhere in there and then getting burned off?

i have been putting cardboard under her for the past few days and no drips, i replaced the cam seals, front crank seal, resealed the oil pump and new valve cover gaskets. new pcv valve, i can only think its the turbo, it does idle real low sometimes and shake. low like 400 to 600 rpm

my car had this same problem... losing oil, low, low, low idle, no drips. Turns out it was the rings. They went bad, then got fuel in my crankcase, washed the bearings, and then spun rod bearing #1. Do a compression check. If thats fine, then pull your turbo, and check your intake tract for oil.
Kickin' it old-school.
