Will it work??

What do you guys think that just put the HKS 3" downpipe on the
current exhaust system in the 92 US Legacy turbo, with only 1 Cat and
stock muffler?
Or how about just cut the 1st cat after the downpipe?
Will any of the way could made some hp?
Any Down side??
