Canister purge solenoid valve, difference between years?

Post by beater_legacy »

I was at the junkyard today to pick up a few things and ended up with three canister purge solenoid valves from different cars. My '90 L is throwing the CEL associated with this valve, code 37 I think. Anyway, I got valves from a '98 outback, '92 L and a '91 AWD non-turbo car. Is there anything that would prevent me from using any of these? I would obviously like to use the outback valve since it is newer.

Thanks,
Brandon

The code is 35.

The solenoids should be the same. The only difference I could see is the electrical connector, but I doubt it.
