*raises hand* yes, that pivot rod pwned me as well two years ago.
I then decided to buy the manufacturers repair manual.. hehe very little stumps me now in assembly or disassembly.. If anything does, it's my fault..
...like pushing the end of my spindle off in a press..
One MUST remove retaining clip before trying to push out the wheel bearing... Yeah, I was tired and thought I had already removed it, but found out I hadn't when the press went all the way up to 50 ton and blew out the outer 1/2" of spindle...

ANYWAYS... on the drivers side of the bellhousing, there is a plug with a 10mm hex socket in it. take that plug out, then screw in a bolt identical to one found in your coilpack, and pry the pin out. When I say pin, I mean its a steel rod that's about an inch in diameter. The pin will come all the way out (as in you can hold it in your hand and walk around with it.) with some work, and then you can remove the engine. If you know how to search properly, you can answer most your own questions quicker, and without flak, because it's ALL been covered here. Peace

Kickin' it old-school.
All you get with a 4eat is all your tranny fluid poured out onto the garage floor when you yank the engine lol I dont have time to drain that shit first lol

The OP already said that he had found it, so the help wasn't needed by that point.Arctic Assassian wrote: So are you not going to help him?
BTW, you CAN remove an auto tranny without removing the flexplate bolts, but it is a huge PITA, as you have to move the damn thing back so freaking far.
There's your useless piece of information for the day.

when i was taking out my slushbox i just put a 2 by 4 in the space between the engine and tranny and went nuts, even with this it took me about 2 hours of just wrenching on it for it to come out.
