What intercooler came on the German market cars?

Post by jefferson »

I got to thinking about the stock air to water intercooler that came on the jdm cars and how they don't fit too well because our cars are left hand drive. The German cars are also left hand drive so if they had a air to water intercooler it should bolt right up, shouldn't it? Does anyone know about this. My son is going to be going back to his base in Germany before he comes home and it made me start thinking. Help anyone.

As guess based on posts I remember from here, I would say that the intercooler is the same as the JDM one. I belive there is a special offset resevour for the clucth master cylinder.

Remember too that the German Market cars had EJ20Gs as well...which have an entirely different intake manifold, which places the intercooler at a different dimension from the firewall...so that could potentially cause fitment issues as well...

But...I have a JDM AWIC on my car...and it fits the 2.2 pretty damn well
