Let there be light
I've had my 92 wagon for 1 week now and absolutely love it! This is my first Subaru and I am hooked. But I am finding I am overdriving my lights. I live in a rural area-twisty dirt roads with lots of wildlife. I want to install my 55/100w H4 bulbs but I am wondering if the headlight housings (plastic) can handle it. I also want to install my old faithfull Bosch foglights (also have 100w bulbs) and some driving lights (yet to purchase, maybe 100w as well). Any hints, suggestions, recommendations?

Hello and welcome.
Familiarize yourself with the search feature.
There has been plenty written about this. vrg3's posts are the most informative, though.

Thanks for the info...I have searched the threads and unfortunately some of the links to diagrams are no longer available. Also where I live we have the worst phone system....I'm on dial up and it takes forever for pages to load. I was just hoping for a quick yes or no in regards to the H4 bulbs. I would love to upgrade the wiring to improve the lighting but I need more detailed info before I start the process(more time as well-single dad with 2 school age kids). I was just looking for a quick fix as I am driving in the dark more now. I guess I will just install the foglights for now as that will help light up the sides of the roads where the deer are lurking...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....found it! It pays to get on the net early on a Sunday. Found the thread with all the info I need and links that are still working! So now NO high wattage bulbs for me! Sand/polish the lenses...and start building a harness. I knew I kept all those Bosch relays for a reason and also the wiring from cars I sent to the wrecker! Thanks to vrg3 and Daniel Stern!!!!
