WTF 94 legacy ss without vented rear disk?

Post by Damon »

So I bought a 94ss 4eat with a busted tranny a few months ago and I'm getting ready to get her on the road. Well, I'm doing my usual pre inspection check and I pull the rear wheel. Solid rotor. How much am I gonna have to put back to put the vented rears on there again? The rotors are pretty much shot so I plan to replace soon. Is that all I need to change?-Thanks, Damon

The vented rotors are wider, you may need to put SS calipers on it as well... I swapped to WRX brakes, rears are same diameter, but solid disk, like yours. No real performance difference, unless you race the car...
I still have the SS calipers if you need them, but the disks were pretty much done.

I looked at today and I think it's the stock calipers. I think I'll just have to swap out the rotors. :?

have you talked to the previous owner to see whats up with the brakes?

you should measure the rotors and post some pics for us all to see.
