New US-Spec WRX intercooler fits?

After trying to find a 93-96 WRX intercooler in HK, unsucessfully...
i am wondering if the new US spec WRX intercooler will fit our
Legacys.. anyone actually seen new US spec WRX under the hood and
have any measurements for the intercooler? is it single inlet or
double inlet? does it have similar piping as the previous gen impreza?

The Oz spec sits at a greater angle on the my01 compared to the models
before hand.

The new one is even larger than the previous versions, i think, and
there's no way it'd fit without hacking up the intake manifolt or
other butchering.

I'm afraid the only options would be the ver1 WRX or perhaps one from
Spearco, BPM or Rallispec (read $$$).

o damn it.. its back to the big $$$$ again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the thing i know is that there will probably be lots of totaled WRX
in Vancouver soon, with many rich kids in their brand spanking new
Impreza WRX.. they are gonna think they are king of the road in rain
with the AWD and its a life saver.. but with 227HP and their over
confidence, i think i am gonna see tons of WRXs end up in junkyard
and it would be easier to find than the 93-96 WRX intercoolers from
HK...

i hope Subaru would be like BMW and offer driver training programs,
even though we do get the Cash back thing from Subaru in Canada for
joining a Rally club or something..

Hi Ricky, You are bad luck again, the new WRX intercooler is Duel
Entry ( I check it up close to the intercooler by myself). Try your
best to find on in HK or even in Japan, or Australia !!
If you find some one In BC has totaled WRX, then keep a turbo for me
I think it will direct fits to our Legacy, maybe just has different
angle of the outlet!!

Hey,
Any members of West Coast Rally Association or other CARS Member club gets
money back from Subaru when they buy a new car from Subaru ($500 i think) We
also get a discount on parts (30% I think) from SOC on parts bought for
maintaining a competetion car (does autocross count? maybe..)
