STi/WRX Struts and Springs (repost)

Post by legacy_productions@yahoo. »

I posted this a few weeks ago and didn't get any response so I am
going to try again.

I have read in this group and a few other places that any Impreza
strut/spring combo will work for our gen Legacy. Does this include
factory STi/WRX struts and springs also? Would the weight difference
between the cars be too great for the factory dampening and rebound
of the STi struts? I am thinking about purchasing them from here
becuase the price is good (I think):

ion_497.html>
And don't want to buy them and not have them work.
Also would anybody know if this would raise/lower the stance of my
car?

Any advise/help/warnings are appreciated.

Thanks
Jay

Legacies up to '99 just fine.

Spring rates aside however.

If the included springs are stiff on the Impreza, the slight
additional weight of the Legacy might make them a bit lower and seem
a bit weaker, but it's all relative. The BC-BF Legacies really don't
weight much more than an RS, though the optional stuff on the Turbo
models do add a bit.

My Touring Wagon is 3300lbs, while an RS is closer to 2800. That's
nearly %20, so i'd probably be overweight for most near-stock springs
available for the Impreza, but not as much for the high-rate ones.
Unfortunately you kind of have to wade into it and see how it goes,
as springs/struts and coil-over packages for our cars are very hard
to get.
