ok i got my 02 wrx tmic on the other day and i'm having some problems.
1st: the stock wrx bov is a pile of junk and i can't even part throttle drive down the interstate as it hangs open in vacume. no it is not being recerulated as i did not have a sheet of aluminum to make a adapter plate for the stock bpv. (or else it would be recurc.)
2nd: my car has a bad bouncing idle at times it is random and it was not like this before the install. my guess is the shitty non- recurc. wrx bpv. correct?
3rd: in order to make it home i had to unplug the bpv and plug the line to it. i made sure not to boost at all and just babied it home.
now it was surging in vacume and it was kinda weird. i never went above 5 hg's, and it would surge still.
the plan is to make a adapter with a 90* elbow to install the stock bpv... hopefully this will fix the problems i have been experiencing.

Again, I think you answered you own question.mgroshong wrote:well after reading it i kinda did. my main question was if the wrx bov/bpv is really a pile of junk or if it only works as a bpv?

No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.
