Well I've decided to machine my EJ22T block for thrust on #5 and use a Sti crank in my stroker so I need a good set of 2.5 N/A phase II rods.
If you have a set let me know.

WTB: EJ25 Phase II Rods
No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.
I have a set of 05 STi rods "collecting dust" that need bearings for the crank end. Pay $5 plus shipping and they are yours.
Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad judgment.

To the best of my knowledge, the only long rod like that was for the phase 1 2.5L. The journal sizes are different than the crank that you have. The later 2.5L rods (aka phase 2) had 5.167" AFAIK. That's what I have. The STi rods are ev shorter at 5.13x".All_talk wrote:Thats a heck of a deal, but the STi rods are to short for my build, I need the 5.181 length from the N/A EJ25.

I'd do $50 for the rods that I posted above plus shipping.
I also have a set of phase one long rods that are in excellent condition. I have as new set of ACL Race Bearings for both con rods and mains. I was holding on to the bearings to build the 2.2L but I changed my mind.

That is what I found as well, the difference between the 5.181 and 5.167 rods is the same as the amount of above deck with the EJ22T piston, so the phase II rod sets the pistons flush deck and change my compression from 8.5:1 to 8.3:1, I'm ok with either. I have seen reference to Phase II rods at 5.181 tho, I have a set of both (not in great shape), they look to be the same length but I haven't made an accurate check.tmarcel wrote: ...To the best of my knowledge, the only long rod like that was for the phase 1 2.5L. The bigger question is do I go with the 5.137 rods, Sti or EJ22T (both forged), that will leave the pistons .75mm below deck and run the .5mm later headgaskets (.75mm thinner than the stockers)? CR would be 8.4:1 and I’d have an all forged bottom end (with the Wisceo pistons). I’m still checking a few things, like how much better the Sti rods are than the EJ22Ts. I’ll send you a PM on the Phase II rods.
