SO the ECS guys ordered a new clutch master cylinder for my '91, the one they got was a superceded part number, and did not really fit (the line placement is different). They sent it back, requested the original P/N. According to Subaru, there was only one left... they got it, and it's in my car.
This is a heads up to anyone with a 5MT... if you need a new clutch cylinder, you will probably end up changing, bending, or re-routing some of the hardlines as well.
Not sure if aftermarket units are the same deal... anyone have more info?

Aftermarket units are generally rebuilt OEM ones, so if they say they're for a 91 specifically I'd say they should be alright.
What I would suggest for someone who has to replace their master cylinder on a 91 with one meant for a 92-94 is an aftermarket stainless steel braided clutch line. Tear out the stock lines and damper, and replace it with a hose with the right fittings on the ends. Josh's transmission swap writeup contains the necessary information.

1993 Ford Spectron XL-T
1991 Fiat Croma 2.0T i.e.
Another car, soon to be announced

JC, if you could, verify these part numbers.
I have the original part # as 37230AA010, and yes, there are zero left in the country. That supercedes to 37230AA011, of which there are 27 left in the country.
So they originally sold you an AA011, which didn't fit and the AA010 fits right?
