I've done some searching and found Josh's list of tranny codes. I went out to my new tranny and found that the ID sticker is missing. I can see where it used to be, but no info. I did find a few other numbers in the area. A sticker above the missing one reads 148084. A tin ID tag is tied to the engine and it reads:
E BC5
BC5-003467
BC5A48D
It doesn't appear that the tranny and engine have been separated at any point. Any chance these numbers mean anything to anyone? Or is there a way I can verify the FD ratio without opening the case? Just judging by the list on Josh's site, there's a good chance I have a 4.11 in there.
Thanks
Brian
