I Remember hitting this wall...Right here I decided to add a plastic TMIC. I didnt clock the turbo to do that, so I cannot offer advice to that, but I'll tell you that my car never got hot after I added that.

It was easy for me, I just trimmed my clutch master cyl resevior(sp) down, moved my ignitor to the firewall, sourced some cheap silicone and ordered a 45* hose for the turbo to intercooler. Then I got some PVC tubing and fittings, and made my own y-pipe. I hooked the turbo to run wastegate boost, and t'd the boost gauge into that line connected to the pressure side nipple.

After seeing 9-11 psi from 2200-6000rpm I tapped manifold vacuum and saw the same results. My car was significantly faster than a stock wrx. I was also running a full decatted STI turboback. And a K&N panel filter. This all took me about three weeks to set my car up, but that was after working on cars all day at work, and some days I had no motivation.

Any other questions?Peace.

If you put an 06-07 FXT or WRX IC in it makes thing easier I hear... Ask Livestrong... I think he knows...

Yes, intercooling with any of the 90 degree turbos is easier, and should be done...for heat reasons and whatnot
