Funny you mention that, because I recently ported a spare motor for my Zuma scooter. I have to put it on & try it out to see if I killed the cyl., or made power.

The Starlet we run is a Peripherally Ported 12a turbo running on a Holley carb, with a fully programable (32x32 map) additional injector controller giving the extra fuel needed under boost.
I'm not a tuner, but I do MAP the injector controller with good results.
Here is the first 9 second pass that car ever ran turbo (20psi) & I ever tuned a car up to run. The bad 60' is due to wheelspin, as the car has run 1.29 60's. The clutch was slipping killing MPH, but it still ran in the 9's.

60' - 1.449
330' - 4.068
1/8th- 6.333
MPH - 108.32
1000'- 8.298
1/4 - 9.975
MPH - 133.35

After getting tired of 20psi we have run up to 35psi with interesting results & hope to run 9.2's this coming spring (cool temps).

holy crap
what axle and trans are you running in that thing?
also I thought there is a minimum wheelbase for engine swaps in NHRA? the starlet is a short ass car.

There is a minimum NHRA weight of 2200lbs with driver.

The short wheelbase means it is a handful going down the track.

Engineering types say the wheelbase is unsafe @ times quicker than 7.9's, but PR racers have pushed these cars to 7.0.

The trans is a 4spd mid 70's vintage Toyota Celica tranny with a custom adapter plate for the Mazda bellhousing.
It cost exactly $150!

The rear is a ford 9" narrowed down with Mark Williams axles & spool, spinning 4.3 FD PRO Gears.

Heres the Link of a launch again-

The next set of mods = GT45R turbo, BIG FMIC, 2 stage alky injection, Bigger tires, Electronic boost control (to be used as traction control on launch (Launch @ low boost, hit the button & get full boost @ the 60' cone)). It will get quicker!

I have like 1000 before pictures, but I'm in the process of restoring it so it it still a work in progress.
Long story short it is a Charcoal grey factory 4AG coupe, that was originally 2-toned silver over black.
After all the mechanical stuff is re-done (suspension(strut tops to bushings), brakes (m-cyl, SS lines, rotors, pads), steering, wheel bearings, fuel pump, LSD) it will get resprayed the factory colors.

It runs/drives now, & though it has no power it is a fun ride - RWD, Light (2100LBS), good weight balance / handling.
I hope to get it finished by next summer, but I have too many project cars so it may take a little longer...

i helped my buddy rebuild his 13b-rew, and it took about 1 hour and a good handfull of vasiline.....

so far it has held 20lbs from a gt4202.

and to talk alittle about the hot exhaust temps, he has had the manifold and turbo glowing white hot.... after a good highway pull.

also he just saw that he has some chunks missing from the turbine blades. so it got alittle hot. but hasn't blown up yet...

A guy I know used to run a 13B in a suzuki samurai. He blew that one up pretty fast. Put another one in. Blew that one up too.

Now he is just finishing swapping a 4.3L V6 into it from a blazer. No more rotary for him.
