tire reviewe, goodyear cargo vectors

i am running these on all 4 corners. 195/70 r15. my first impression was poor at best. i know the roads around were i live get very slick for the first couple of months, slick like u have a hard time walking on them. i don't know if i should be running them at max psi of 65? i have them around 38psi right now. my dads rodeo did better with allseasons in 2wd. my car has a hard time staying stright from a dead stop and im not getting on it either.

arent those truck tires? and 70 is pretty dang tall. do they rub at all?

65 psi would be a mistake and make traction even worse.

even 38 is a bit high.

try closer to 30-32.

isn't 70 the stock tire height?

but i do agree with greg. 30-32 psi will give you much better grip.

That size tire would require a higher pressure, plus those sidewalls will want to roll over and die every time you sneeze behind the wheel.

yeah there "light truck" tires. no rubing of any kind. not my choice of tire but i needed tires at the time and i had a gl10 long block sitting around so i traded someone on here

the stock size for a ss is 195/60/15. at least that is what the tire rack says to put on there.

could part of my problem be the fact that they are light truck tires? not being designed for a sedan and all

i'd think the problem is rubber compond... what is you warmed them a bit heated garage or something... any better ? i ran my yoko trz (70)on the ss for a bit they seemed fine even in snow

Uh, this is a joke right? You're running what size on what? Let's be clear we're talking Legacy? Who sold you that? Got to TireRack.com to see accurate stock sizes - should be 50 or 55 sidewall hight you've been +2'd without the rims! Big balloons! They are going to handle like heck. Wow!!!

how old are the tires, I would say its the tire compound itself as well. How cold does it get in your area?

Running a 195/70 series really isn't far away from a 195/60 series. The sidewall is probably around 15mm's or so taller. So that shouldnt really make a different.

Hey gang,

I am the one that traded the tires to him and I never had any issues with them.
I had them on a 92 wagon for several months at 35 psi and even went trail running with the Outback guys in september i think.

Dirtyhands....if you don't want them then i would be willing to take them back. Let me know.
