Are these any better than Stock EJ20G hardware? I am getting these for free and am wondering if I can put them to use or not?

Thanks

Well I am using them on my dohc ej25 heads. They fit fine but only problem as I can see is that the valves do not close all the way now? Why I have no clue, other than that putting sti valve springs and retainers is a popular mod do some searching around and I m sure youll find more out.
