where can I find front reinforcement and bumper cover?

Post by Trace »

I've tried numerious places e.g. online, google, autoparts canada, even local junk yard for a used/new front bumper cover and front reinforcement but have no luck so far... there were plenty of NA parts but not so much for a Turbo model.

I'll try calling subaruparts.com tomorrow but in the mean time where do you guys usually get your bumper cover/ steel reinforcements from?

Thanks!

that's the part i don't get. I asked the body shop the same question they said the NA curves in more at the bottom. (Or the turbo does... i forgot which).

is this true? i could save lots $$ if its the same.. :?

Sure it looks different but from what I know they are interchangeable.

My 93' SS has an NA bumper on it. It looks a little rough and is tilted down slightly due to the front end collision it was in but other than it looks fine.

But I have full intentions of just putting another NA bumper on it due to ease of procurement.

that sounds good! but is it a direct bolt on for the NA bumper? since the Turbo bumper is rare and much more expansive i'll just stuff it on a NA bumper as long as its possible....

i found this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-L ... enameZWD1V

however, its a reinforcement for a 91 turbo touring wagon. would a wagon reinforcement fit onto a 94 turbo ss?

thanks.

I have a 93 SS and we mounted the JDM fogs to a NA bumper beam. Then we put the turbo skin back on.

The SS and NA beams are the same.

Now good luck for finding the turbo skins though
Yes I have too many Subarus

thanks, but if i can't find a turbo cover i'll just forget about it and put a NA on. NA's not bad looking as right now i'm driving around town with a half hanging beam it looks retarted. can't even get a date with that!

I have an nearly new unpainted 1993 turbo bumper skin and styrofoam beam. Shipping might be a killer, though.

Well, you're talking cross-country and international. I stripped it off a parts car. My car's a 1990, so it's not much good to me beyond decorating my work shop.
