Adjustable Headlight Wiring?
I’ve got a set of EDM headlights with the electric adjusters and I’m hoping to find a wiring diagram or pin out for them. They have a 6 pin connector on each light. I dont want to have to take them apart and trace out the circuits on the control board.

No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.
I've already done this Gary. I was in the process of making a wiring diagram. I don't recall if I finished it.
Email me, and I'll see if I can find it.

If you do find it, please post it (or the link). I'd also like to do this.

As would I.
I love my EDM lights even without the adjustable height.
On a different note, what did everyone use their 'city light' for?

Thanks Josh!!! I'm in line for a set of these so would be very interested in the posting.

So you need to get the leveling switch included with these lights or you are SOL? Or is it a normal switch wired per the diagram...
Thanks for doing BTW. Looks terrific!!

Thanks Josh
First, I do no have the stock switch, so I may have to go at it another way.
Couple of questions...
When you say" Positions 0 thru 3" do you mean that the lights are set up to have 4 preset hights and are not variable through the whole range?
What signal is expected at the pin to make that position current? A voltage? +12VDC? or a ground?
I'm sure I could hack the control board in the lights to drive the motor directly but I would like to retain the intended end points so I dont over travel and damage something.

The original switch obviously would be best, but you could probably rig something up. All you need to do is run 12v to the particular position you want the lights to be at, and they move. So if you had a 4-position toggle switch, that'd probably work.Adam West wrote:So you need to get the leveling switch included with these lights or you are SOL? Yes a +12VDC signal at the particular position pin you want will energize the motor.
I'm going to double check the wiring colors to verify which side of the plug I used for my drawings, because as you know, depending on which side you look at, things could be backwards. It's been a while since I've looked at these.
So I may update the diagram. I'll post an update if I do.

I updated the diagram. The connector shape was off a little for the motors.
Also, the wiring pins & colors correspond to the female connector, the one attached to the leveler motors and the leveler switch.
