WTB: Pass. fender liner 92-94

Post by n2x4 »

I need a passenger fender liner for my 94SS.

According to car-part.com no yard in the state of Ohio has one. Anyone here have one? I'm interested in it if shipping doesn't suck, otherwise I may have to try and make one myself. The intake is getting some water in the bottom of the box.

I actually just ordered one from SubaruGenuineParts.com to replace my missing one. It's not too expensive to buy one new; the part number is 59120AA020. List price is about $40. It should arrive any day now, and I'm hoping it will be nice and flexible as opposed to the rigid brittle 14-year-old stuff I would have found in a junkyard.

I believe Cascade Subaru in Cuyahoga Falls offers a discount to LERSOC members, if you want to go pseudo-local instead of ordering online.

Just got back from Advanced Auto Parts. I thought I'd ask them because they carry random body parts.

I just ordered a inner fender for a 94 Legacy - $16.00 brand new! Seems too good to be true, I'll find out in about 3 days whenit shows up. Damon, I'll keep you in mind if this doesn't work out, but I'd be pretty excited if it does!

You've gotta have one of the conglomerate's brands there. Checker? Schuck's? Kragen? Murray's? They're all the same as Advance I believe.

I don't think it's actually sold by Advanced, when I ordered it they loaded some parts software and had to call a number to get it. I guess they're affiliated, but not owned by. I'll find out more when I go back.

you can put any (*subaru*) fender liner in, you may just have to cut it to fit.
i've got an outback fenderliner in my front left wheel well. it ended up being a little long so i just cut er' off. it's lighter and more rigid than the stock liners.

Well,

The fender liner was close, but not right. For the Legacy, they sell the same fender liner as the Impreza. When I picked it up from the store, the label said 93-01 Impreza.
Needless to say I wasn't happy and had them look the part up again. It was right, that's what they sell for a Legacy.

It's almost a fit, however the impreza liner is just the arch like this: ^ and the legacy liner has a piece that extends to the front bumper like this: ^- . Also, only 2 of the 5 or 6 mounting holes line up. What I ended up doing was removing the liner from my 90 and compared the two. I drilled new holes in the Impreza liner to match the Legacy. I think I'm going to find some similar plastic and use a rivet gun so the Impreza liner fits.

For now though, the Impreza liner is on the 90, and the Legacy liner is on the SS (since I care about it more). I might give Autozone or Napa a call and see if they have anything to offer.

Where'd you get yours from? The problem I'm finding is that the only place to get a fender liner locally for my car is to go to the dealership, which I didn't really want to do.

Well, I was talking to n2x4, but, yes, I would like to see pictures to get a better idea of the differences between the Impreza and Legacy parts.
