So I finished the turbo swap, you probably heard about that. my 3" Downpipe just dumps to atmosphere; there are no cats or resonators.
I'm asking here because there are no cats, no exhaust shop will touch it unless I agree to put one on - The car isn't registered in this county and I'm not going to waste my money (I intend to take it off the street permanently in six months time - pure autocross car)
What's the dealie, I want to get rid of the horrible lowrpm/idle rasp noise; otherwise the exhaust note is fine. I can even hear the turbo spooling clear as day nice and loud like - I like that (can even hear it inside the car with the windows up, but can't hear the rasp)
The only thing I can think of is a resonator that would do the trick; but I'm having a hard time finding just resonators online that I could buy, not the glasspack/cherrybomb ones.
The other problem is that right after the downpipe is a carrier girdle thing for the driveshaft, a clearance problem no doubt for even a 3" exhaust; but I figure a 3" resonator would be 4" in diameter easy; how did you/others avoid this issue in losing so much ground clearance?

The resonator is just aft of the cat in my 3 inch exhaust.
So it goes- 3 inch divorced DP to High flow cat in stock position to resonator immediately after then to muffler in stock position.
But the shop here had to hunt down a 3 inch resonator.
