front end conversion

Post by 92ss satinsvoice »

ive got a great idea to trip people out at the next subie fest! well ive been thinking about it ever since i bought the car.

but how about a seconded gen with a first gen pre face lift on it? huh.... huh? i think the first gen front end looks alot meaner in the rear view mirror.

also since theres really not much cosmetic support for our cars i thought i would be a little creative :-) .

how about it people!?

it's been done, just need the entire front clip (fenders, bumper, hood), and have to re-wire the corner markers and turn signals.

I want to go the other way, think the 92-94 nose looks cleaner.

The 90-91 front end looks better so I approve of this project.

What is with the referring to the post-facelift cars as second gen? First gen was '90-'94, with a facelift occurring for the '92 MY.

Internet high-five

I was actually thinking about that at one point: a 94 BF GT wagon, with a 91 turbo front end and an EJ22T swap.

it's possible.......

:-D

went to the junk yard last summer when i bought the car to get a replacement fender to paint, the guy went and got me the wrong one.

you really can't tell the difference without putting it on the car and looking at the corner light mount.

i guess it doesn't look that bad but i just have to deal with it for now.
i had it painted and it cost me 150, the guy did a better job than subaru did on the car in the 1st place

you could say that i contribute to both generations of the legacy
:D

what about swaping a 06 or 07 legacy front end? i think they look pretty dang good. Would it be just making new mounting points for the fenders and the rest of the front end parts? i was thinkin of this but i'm not sure if the dimentions are the same for the front ends.

i'd rather have our gen. personally.
the turbo front bumper is what started it all pretty much.
they stayed with that style to this day.....wait.
until toyota decided to ruin everything. yeah

I doubt any of the lines would match up even if the parts could bolt on. The styles aren't the same so it would look awkward.
