Hi Alex

Congrats on your install

Yes, I would be very interested to see your diagram, but I am thinking there
is too little space between our turbo outlet pointed upward in the wrong
direction, and the cooler inlet to get a freeflowing transition, without some
kind of big spiral loop all the way over the top of the cooler and back
around under the bottom to the inlet. I think Bill Robinson cut off part of
his cooler inlet and welded up some elbows to get a fit.

I kind of don't want to introduce any sharp bends into the system, and really
think I'm going to end up spending more $$ to go for the EJ20 turbo with the
correct clocking, but hey, let's see those pics!

More than one source has said the wires on top of the cooler are from a
sensor that energizes a light on the dash when the water level is low

And now the questions

1. Have you (or anybody) noticed whether your turbo is bolted in such a way
that the outlet cannot be clocked horizontally to make a straight shot at the
intercooler inlet?

2. What are you using for a pump?

3. What are you using for a radiator?

Hi Larry I e-mailed the pictures to you I am afraid that you won't be
able to see very much. I did have some answers for you. Are there any
of the 2.0L turbos available? What the elbows do is simulate the old
ducting and are pretty close.

intercooler install

My last reply went to data heaven? This is real good info on the
intercooler install Now I can join Larry witherspoons club ONE STEP
FOWARD THREE STEPS BACK and another club I AM IN TOO DEEP TO GET OUT
NOW. All I need is a radiator,a tank, some fittings and some more
areoquip hose. I do have the Spearco Centi-Puppy pump it will do 11
gal a minute and I have an idea on the tank. Some time ago I helped
part out some cars and I saved the tank from the air suspension on a
Subaru Loyale. I am a little concerned about rust but this is one
problem that the air suspension systems did not have as far as I know.
It has brackets and could mount under one of the fenders along with my
air filter and the pump.(the engine compartment is full)
