power or manuel?

Manual means you can turn that on and shift it through the gears by
yourself and if you put it in a gear, it will not shift up OR down
from that gear unless at redline (maybe...).

The "Power" light only comes on when you mash the pedal. It's a more
aggressive driving mode that holds onto gears longer and revs higher.

Push the cruise button to turn it on. Press downward to set, up to
resume and toward yourself to cancel. Holding up and/or down either
accelerates or decelerates, i can't remember which.

power or manuel?

here's the blurb on the lights and buttons.

the power light only comes on at start up briefly and when you stand on it and make it go fast. It indicates that your transmission computer recognizes theat you are trying to go fast and changes the shift points.

the manual button (and the light that comes on when you push the button). the manual button only has any effect when in 2nd gear. If the car is in 2nd and the button is pressed(the light is on) then the transmission will not shift into 1st but it will stay in second and not downshift into 1st if you stop or slow down.

thats them as i know them ;~)

power or manuel?

Post by Rod Grosvenor »

P.S-the manual setting is meant for 1st & 2nd only=it`s mainly used for off-road, slow driving to hold tranny in gear. First & 2nd have a 50-50 axle split so they work in concert with the off-road idea. If you put the selector in 3rd & and slow down, it will downshift into 2nd gear as it normally would w/o the manual button on. Also, the power button will flash if you have any tranny codes; this happens when you first start up. Hope this helps-ROD_(AZ.)
