Hello, this is me and my Subaru
Hello.
I am 18 years old and I am from Norway. I am a great fan of Subaru and I bought a 1990 Subaru Legacy 2.2 GX manual as my first car. Now the car is pretty much stock, but I have some plans to upgrade and modify it. And this forum is a great forum, and exactly what I have been looking for.

I don't know why they didn't put the side markers on the early US models. The headlight washers are nice, too. The car looks new.
dogfish - I'll trade you 587 American politicians for 1 Norwegian. And if you act within the next month, I'll throw in the entire legislative branch of the state of Massachusetts for free!

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

That was great for a well needed laugh while at work.
We (US market) definitely lost & lose out on cool features that overseas cars received (sedans with rear wiper, headlight washers, better flowing motors, etc.).

He,he.. what do you pay for gas ? Here in Norway we pay 2,2 US dollar pr/litre. And its increasing ! It cost 17500 $ more for a Impreza Wrx in Norway, then in Sweden . Norwegian politicians are insane ! You dont want any of them! I promise.evolutionmovement wrote:I don't know why they didn't put the side markers on the early US models. 2.2/LITER! Damn, we're complaining about gas that's easily less than half that! Are your roads at least intact for all those taxes? Most of our roads here try to emulate Afghanistan so the military can train people used to driving in the third world countries they send them to. Our public schools are a joke, too, and there's little to no assistance for the majority of people to go to college/university. And no paid health insurance, and in Massachusetts they make you have it, they just don't pay for it. I won't get into the rest of it, suffice it to say I'm shopping other countries and cursing myself for buying a house and tying myself down here.
But ... I guess you get what you pay for (sometimes) and our taxes in comparison are extremely low. I pay between 25-30% income tax (varies by income and a little by occupation), 5% sales tax (varies by state), and property tax of a few thousand/yr. (varies by town). There are some other taxes, but they're incidental.

Norway is the richest country in the world, but our country is not the main priority. All the money goes to the poor middle east the rainforest. BOMB THE MIDDLE EAST AND STOP WASTING MONEY! thats my opinion, it will never be peace there. Norwegians school and hospitals are in bad shape, but here we are giving Billions and billions to muslims and other "good" projects. Go Norwayevolutionmovement wrote:2.2/LITER! The most of our roads were buildt in the 80,70s , and they are not in good shape no. We do not get what we pay for, i promise you that. It is a waste of money to have a lowered car in Norway, that is like to have a handicap. "you cant get yourself everywhere

I consider myself too smart and not power-hungry enough to want the job, but thanks.
I love meeting people from other countries and finding they have similar opinions and situations. I guess that the grass always looks greener on your neighbors lawn is just a trick of the light. Within reason - there are plenty of countries where the grass looks brown.
