Bill Robinson's Mitsubishi Turbocharger

Post by William D. Robinson »

Someone from this list asked about the turbocharger that I run and now I can't remember who it was oh well, here is what I think I know...

It came from an EJ20G that was mated to an automatic transmission and was most likely on a single turbo Japan Market Legacy.

The compressor says

14412AA100i
49377-04000
TD04
3380534

The turbine says

13G
DOCM
(MITSIBISHI LOGO) 377-14000 060

It has 12 vanes

Does anyone have any experience with this turbo? Please tell me anything that you can.

I also have an IHI from a similar engine.

Compressor says

IHI Turbo
Spec RHB 52 Parts
VF10 9305
17-459A
14412AA051

Center section says

33C29

Turbine says

K1 30
852X (Maybe it says B52X)
15H

It has 9 vanes

Does anyone know anything about this turbo?

Which is better?

Is either easier to modify or turn into a ball bearing model?

The two most important and relevant numbers on the top one are the
TD04 and 13G.

The two on the bottom are the RH52 and VF10.

I don't know much about turbos, but i'd have to guess the 13G is just
a bit bigger.

There is some info on the Imprezza Clubs turbo forum on that might be
of help on the turbo identification. It is listed under " lets start a
bolt on turbocharger list". If anyone is interested I have a TDO5 like
Dan has for sale.

Bill Robinson's Mitsubishi Turbocharger

How about $350.00 plus shipping from Denver Colorado? The turbo is in
very good condition and is off a MY99 WRX and includes the top section
of the factory uppipe that might be needed to install it.
