dpms rifles?
anybody in to guns? im looking at getting a dpms 308 win when i get my tax return. but i need a left handed rifle and the dpms doesnt come left handed but there is another manufacture that makes almost the same rifle left handed. i like the dpms cause it has good power and large magazine, 20 rounds. i can shoot right handed but im more comfortably to shoot left handed.
my girlfriend finaly found out that i spent more money and time on my car then her. she was kind pist to say the least.

I've also been looking at DPMS. Looks like a good deal for the package. And the AR10/15 forums all seem to give them good reviews.

so you want to get a .308 huh.... COOL!!! i love guns ive got about 5 now. 308 ammo is really expensive if your going to be shooting off a lot of rounds all the time.
is it bolt action or semi auto?

I've restricted myself to a paintball gun for obvious reasons. Still, the squirrels have not been back for months.

When shooting any sort of bow, rifle, pistol etc. you should be using your dominant eye.
Here is a link to find out which eye is dominant:

Now I do confess that I can still hit shit some of the time with my left eye but it is much easier for me to aquire the target and line up accurately with my right. Was true with a bb gun and stayed true all the way up to twin Kimber .45's (i shoot alot). I always try to practice a little with the left just for fun, but I have taken way too much gas/casings to the face in doing so. Those f_ers are HOT! And bolt action is no fun either.

Guns....Yes!
I'm pretty sure all AR-15(DPMS) type rifles and carbines are "right-handed". The ejection port is gonna be on the right side of the rifle. You may be able to find a deflector that fits in place of the dustshield to keep the hot brass from hitting you in the face. To be honest I've never thought about it(me being a righty and all).
The DPMS LR-308 is a bad mofo. 0.5 MOA @ 100 yrds. It'll shoot better than I do. The ammo is not cheap as noted above. The rifle ain't cheap either. If you find a deal for buy one get one free, I'd be glad to save you the trouble of using the free one.

Weird. I'm left-eye dominant, but right-handed. I never tried shooting anything with my left. I can't imagine I'd be any good, but I think I'll give it a try.
Did you pick it up yet? I'd like to see some pics since I have to live vicariously through others.
