for clarity
for clarity
this is the clutch differential located in the transfer case located at the rear of the transmission (the drive shaft UJ sticks out)
more precisely .. the upper output shaft has a multi plate clutch attached. Similar to a motorcycle clutch, with a helical (transfer) gear fixed to the inner "basket",. Together with the outer "basket contain the plates, to transfer power.
hope that's clear enough..
the part I am looking for is
http://picasaweb.google.com/subaru.legacy.turbo/Subaru
I hope this is clear enough
Ian
PS.. a complete assembly is acceptable as well

listen what year and what is it your offering for it. brother is going to take apart an automatic from a turbo. is this the one you need it from?

if so you could call me and I will give you his phone. idea is to get the parts out of his yard so he can clean it up.

six four six-235-eight three five five.

thanks and good luck with the hunt. Bepa
