FS in Seattle area: '91 Legacy Turbo Part-Out

Post by Gristle »

I'm parting out an entire running 1991 Legacy Turbo. I purchase it for the block, but found just the parts I needed elsewhere. It is a wine red color, automatic transmission, and pretty much erased body on the passenger side from the front door back. The front end is good as is the rear. I have $2400 in receipts for engine and turbo work from December '07. It runs and sort of drives (the RR wheel is pointed a little East when the car is pointed North).

I like those wheels. Are those just painted black stock wheels?

Yep, stock wheels painted black. I've got them sold to one of my rally customers though.

The engine is for sale!

Thanks for the info. I guess if my stock ones ever start looking bad, that's an option. Would have killed me in shipping probably anyway. Thanks!!

DLC - I thought he said he decided he didn't want it...

Artic Assasin - I love it up here. I was born up here and am up here on a fairly regular basis. I'm in homer though, and I'm not so sure about the mechanics here...You ever make it down here?

PS - My buddy is on here, he owns a 91ss down in tacoma, wa. I think his name on here is asc_up.

how badly is the rear bent? in the pic it looks pretty bad...

i'm interested in the entire rear subframe, wheel to wheel. hubs, crossmember, trailing arms, brakes, axles, diff mounts etc etc...

the only things i don't need are the struts and the diff...

let me know!

The right upright is broken, and I'm sure the subframe where the forward radius arm connects is bent a little.

Hm okay. If I decide on going this route, I'll definitely check them out. I appreciate the advice. Do you know there website off hand? I googled them and couldnt find it.

I'm also looking at rebuilding my engine based off Brydon from rs25's walkthrough. Check it out, its pretty cool/informative. http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71639

I might be interested in the axle-back. Do you know what the I.D. is?
Thanks.

I think the guy cut out the rear muffler, replaced it with a straight pipe and an aftermarket dual tip - not likely something you'd want ;-)

Any idea if the ECU would work in a '92? Mine is fried and I'm looking for options.
