Silver Air/Water intercooler.
One water pipe is cracked where it is brazed to the body...you can see the pipe is bent up slightly. Needs to be re-brazed.
Includes pressure cap and overflow resevoir.
You will need an electric water pump, and a small radiator or oil cooler to run this setup. High efficiency, and the ability to load it up with ice before a run are the best parts.
$50 plus shipping.

Are these easier to fit than the newer air-air intercoolers?

No...
You have to fight with not only the 45* Outlet... But also water lines and a pump and a small radiator...

Oops... edited for price.
$50 obo.
It's not a plug 'n' play sort of mod, but it is more efficient, and takes up less space under the hood than an air/air IC
Another thing to consider, is that the clutch cylinder resevoir may interfere. It can be shortened fairly easily, I believe...

So, if I got a JDM turbo with the proper outlet, the intake piping part should be easier? The water lines, heat exchanger, and pump don't scare me.
No clutch reservior in my Touring Wagon FTW!

I'll try to post a picture of the bottom of the unit ASAP, so you can see the air inlet pipe. It is approximately the same as the JDM TMIC air/air unit,(the so-called slanty IC) but all metal.
Someone recently posted a very nice install article, with pics... I can't remember who it was.

Could you also post a pic of the damaged water nipple?

No problem. It's just cracked right where it attaches to the body.
Here's Josh's old install thread... He got an offset clutch res. from Blackbart.
Note the title of the post, as well.

Tisk, that sounds pretty tough. I'll have to do some more looking into just what I'd need to do in my car to make this sucker fit around all my hoses. Seems like an A/C delete would help things along a bit....
Is that a temp sensor with the pigtail on the top?

Not sure, actually... might be Temp, or water level.

Yes...that is the temp sensor...The early Legacy RSs had a variable speed AWIC waterpump.
