A few 1.8 litre questions...

1. Where can I find some specs like horse power and torque on all the different 1.8 litres made by Subaru(there are many 1.8 engines, yes I know)
2. I have an 85 1.8 litre carbureted, and I am wondering what I can do to get more then the suggested 90 horse out of it. Any ideas? Besides nitrous :)
3. I put a home made 2" exhaust on it and designed it so that it is tucked right up into the floor to prevent anymore damage from offroad abuse, however after my last adventure I dented the 90's right up at the front of the engine. Does anyone have a design for a skidplate to protect the exhaust there?

Thanks for any feedback in advance!

PS. what does the law require for pollution control? Air care is not in my area. Do I need my cats legally? And what about pollution control on the engine itself. I am sure I can get more power out of it if I take it off, but is that legal?

Honestly, your best bet would be to visit the Ultimate Subaru Message
Board at http://pub1.ezboard.com/bultimatesubarumessageboards

This forum is meant for 90+ Legacies, none of which had either 1.8l
or carbuerators (at least in the US).

There's a ton of great info over there!
