Bad wiring?

Post by greatjorb88 »

Hey there. Okay here it is, sometimes when I'm driving, and I brake, it's like I temporarily lose power within the car, sometimes it's only for a split second, but sometimes it literally shuts the car off and that's not happy. I'm wondering if this might be a wiring problem as I'm pretty sure my battery's fine. I could be wrong though. If it's not a battery problem, could someone please point me in the right direction where to start looking? Thanks alot.

Hook up a volt meter (like to the cig lighter) and monitor your voltage. What's it at while you drive and brake?

as crazy as this sounds, check that the computer is in tight.
on my old GL10, I replaced the computer, but only put it in hand tight so the nuts loosened a bit. Turns out the computer grounded through those bolts and everytime I would turn it would lose the ground and shut the car off.

I would also check all the grounds to make sure they are tight and clean
