Yup, just cut out the cross piece, fill in with Bondo, sand it down, paint it then add the mesh of your choice. Im in the middle of this myself and Ill be adding a matching subaru badge to the mesh.

Overseas there actually was a company that made aftermarket grills... I cant remember their name but it was on RSLibertyClub.

Yes, that is the one Im modeling mine after....however I saw a guy stateside with one and he paid over $200 for the darn thing! Good thing Im handy with the dremmel.
