I like the body style of the '91 best, plus the VLSD is always good.
It's much more economical (not to mention convenient) to buy a car with all the new parts I'd want. Also, something that's already had all the bugs and everything worked out will save me a lot of time as well. Time is not something I have much of these days.

I've got a great example. About to do a full reseal, and add some wiseco pistons if need be. I've got a td04 and 06 plastic Tmic setup on it, And I'm looking to wire in my safc-II.
The setup I had would leave stock wrx's in my dust, but I never really raced it against others. Shoot some pics to summer_snowboarder at hotmail dot com, we'll see if we can do some business.

Kickin' it old-school.

You need to look harder if you really want one. Mine sold the second week of Dec. between your bumps. It's not all that likely one is just going to fall into your lap...

Not entirely wanting to sell mine... but ya never know ^^
But what would you feel mine is worth to ya?
Most upgrades are in my sig, but I'd not be entirely comfortable selling it just yet, I've not dropped in the engine, so until it runs, yeah one could make all sorts of claims... I'm waiting on a few new timing covers, this fridaya, before I drop it in.
*silver* 1991 5spd SS all options, but leather
Clean interior *except sunroof cover.. it's dirty*
160,000 on chassis *no under-car rust* (VERY well undercoated)
only mild localized rust on quarters by lip and bottom of front fenders and a tiny spot near those on rockers
Now for MISC upgrades:
Wheels taken down to clean aluminum, professionaly refinished in gloss black
Fresh Axles all around
New rear wheel bearings and bushings in rear
Rear Spindles taken down to fresh metal, cleaned and painted. *black*
Four very low mile WRX struts
Drilled Brake Rotors
all four brake calipers, taken down to metal and repainted *subaru blue*
Four brand new Potenza Street Tires
Braided steel brake lines
New rear Lateral link bolts (those big bastards)
blasted, primered and painted many brackets and items in black
Trans:
STI Group N pitch stopper
STI Group N trans mount
ACT six puck clutch with matching pressure plate
Engine:
Wiseco 8.5 - 1 forged alum pistons
-matching rings/wrist pins
-matching head gaskets (matched .010 to accomodate the heads being planed)
SCAT rods
ACL race bearings
polished stock EJ22T crank
*stock heads *I'm planning on getting the later SOHC, so I just had them cleaned with seals, planed and pressuretested
pink top fuel injectors *just rebuilt with flowcharts*
New oil/water pumps with new timing belt/pully kit.
*arriving soon* new timing covers, old ones were cracked.
STI Group N Engine mounts
Equal length stainless headers.
Freshly rebuilt TD04 Turbo
(still being completed)
-installing last of hoses/vaccum lines
-having new TMIC scoop being handmade (at pro body shop)
-will need to have alignment after replacing bushings and strust
-boost gauge installed
-install TMIC
-spiral cell battery
-scuff on bumper fixed (at pro body shop)
-rust spots fixed (at pro body shop)
-right rear abs sensor (old one was damaged during suspension rebuild, new one ordered)
Well, I've got like $5k in receipts before purchase of car, not counting labor.
I think I missed a few things, but this is a good start.

I know dude! You posted it on 29Nov and Rockethound had it by 5Dec and on 8Dec I made my post.Matt Monson wrote:You need to look harder if you really want one. Mine sold the second week of Dec. between your bumps. It's not all that likely one is just going to fall into your lap...
I'm a Drill Instructor, when I have kids I get hardly ANY spare time. I do really want to find it but many of you know that often times the best cars DO just fall into your lap. That was how I ended up w/ my last '91. But that's another forum.
