Limits of VF8 Turbo?

That spinning thing that makes all of the cool noises. OE and Aftermarket.

Limits of VF8 Turbo?

Post by livestrong14 »

Hey guys,

I am planning on getting tuned and dyno'd sometime between the 21st and 25th of this month. I will be using a RalliTEK PP6 and Innovative wideband to do so. I am wondering what your experiences were for the VF8 turbo? I am currently running 16 psi daily. I have personally had it wound up to 20 psi on a few occasions. Do you think it can handle 20 psi daily?

I appreciate any helpful info/suggestions!

Thanks

I think that 20 would be okay for some short blasts...but your EGTs will go nuts if you stay in it too long...

Since you are getting it tuned (and no doubt spending a lot of $$ to do so) I would have them set it somewhere around 17 psi or so...which should still give you solid power, but won't sacrifice turbo life or reliability

Well Garner hooked me up with a great deal. Thanks G-man! Props to RalliTEK! Will be tuning and dynoing spring break.
